Southern California Doesn’t Have Good Drivers
After watching some bad drivers on the California freeways zip in and out of traffic, enter or exit the carpool lanes randomly, or decide to cut across 5 lanes to exit, many of us have probably thought “Wow, these drivers are the worst!” Turns out we were right. Allstate Insurance has released its annual “America’s Best Drivers Report”, and Southern California lays claim to four of the 25 cities listed as having the worst drivers.
The four Southern California cities with the worst drivers include Glendale (5th), Los Angeles (14th), Fullerton (16th), and Torrance (22nd). The average driver, statistically speaking, gets into an accident about every 10 years. Los Angeles drivers, on average, get into an accident every 6.7 years, an increased risk of 48.5%. Glendale drivers’ risk is increased by 77.5%, Fullerton drivers’ risk is increase 42.7%, and Torrance drivers’ risk is increased by 36.7%.
