FDA Issues New Warnings About Statins

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has added new safety warnings to statins, popular drugs used to reduce cholesterol. According to new studies and clinical trial results, statins such as Crestor (rosuvastatin), Lipitor (atorvastatin), Zocor (simvastatin) and Vytorin (simvastatin/ezetimibe) increases the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and memory loss.
