Parker teamed up with the LAPD Community Safety Partnership Team Nickerson Gardens to distribute toys to thousands of Nickerson Gardens’ children. In addition to toys for the children, our law firm also distributed Larry H. Parker visors and Larry H. Parker reusable grocery bags to everyone.

We were also proud to announce that a Nickerson Gardens student will participate in the Larry H. Parker Scholar Incentive Awards program this June.

Parker would like to congratulate Phoenix Office Managing Attorney Eric W. Schmidt for successfully settling an incredibly complex litigation case. Our client and our Phoenix office reached a confidential settlement with numerous defendant parties, each vigorously disputing negligence and product liability issues. Our case against the defendants stems from a 2007 boat explosion incident.

On July 28, 2007, our clients was a boat passenger on the Apache Lake reservoir northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. When the operator of the boat failed to properly operate the ignition system, the boat exploded, ultimately burning up and sinking to the bottom of the lake. Leading experts in the fields of boat operation, engineering, and metallurgy were unable to determine the exact cause of the explosion.

In the boat explosion and subsequent capsize, our client was severely injured, suffering a badly broken ankle that has caused permanent disability. The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker had already reached settlement with three of the four defendants in this boat explosion case, and we reached final settlement with the last defendant just before trial.

Parker has announced the winners of the 13th Annual Larry H. Parker Scholar Incentive Awards. Qualifying candidates for the award must be a graduating senior with a grade point average of at least 3.00, and must be committed to attending college. Award recipients are chosen by college counselors at the various high schools that participate in the program. Five scholarships are designated for the Community Build foundation, with these recipients are chosen by the Community Build Program Director. Community Build is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering inner-city youth and fostering economic development.

The scholarship recipients recently attended a banquet held in their honor. The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker wants to congratulate all of this year’s outstanding scholars.  Our recipients and some pictures taken from the banquet are below.

The most recent release featured a favorable jury verdict for senior Larry H. Parker PC attorney Eric W. Schmidt.

A premises liability case, the plaintiff, represented by the Arizona offices of Larry H. Parker, slipped and fell on some grape soda at a Wal-Mart store.
